As a writer, my approach is workmanlike and nuanced akin to the men suspended on the skyscraper beam at lunchtime sans imminent danger.

I’m balancing a typewriter on one knee, a homemade sandwich on the other while wrestling the wind for a note written by my two young daughters and I’m not quite sure where the bathroom is.

My take.

In writing stories both familiar and unique, empathy is a main driver of my storytelling with humor riding shotgun. An intimate understanding of my audience, client and creative goal is like my navigation. As I toggle between the narcissism it takes to believe anyone wants to read what I have to say and the humility it takes to manifest a strategy; self-awareness and putting the pen to paper are very important to my writing process from ideation to user feedback.

The Work.

My writing is tailored to the needs of a project and client. Having said that, I take pride in adding value with a patina of my voice.

There is a special symbiotic relationship between band and fan. Not to oversimplify but they pour their hearts out and create soundtracks to our everyday lives and we come out and support them when they’re in town no matter how many days/years and styles of tour t-shirts pile up between shows.”

“Corporate wellness programs are evolving at a fever pitch to be more than just office flu shots, healthy menus in company cafeterias, and walking paths at work. Companies that proactively promote and execute wellness initiatives need guidance in producing medically-based, disease- specific programs with effective wellness services geared toward their employees.

Scripted Podcast Pitch, Sports Comedy Genre

“HOW DO WE MAKE A SPORTS STORY COME ALIVE VIA AUDIO? — For starters, sports began on the radio. There was an exciting one on one intimacy hearing an announcer describe the action and letting the listener’s mind do the rest. Although sports make for great action, JOCK DOCS is not about the action so much as the stories and personalities behind the action. In that sense it’s like any other compelling podcast where a narrator guides us through a true crime mystery, or government conspiracy along with the help of a chorus of talking heads, sound effects, media soundbites, etc. Hearing an overly serious smalltime announcer, say, call a little league game should be just as funny as watching the game itself.

“Warmth, echoes of family gatherings and tradition fill each room of this established Ranch home in idyllic Franklin Lakes. A nostalgic front porch greets you in the front of the home. Upon entering through the elongated foyer an open concept living space affords casual relaxation and a venue for entertaining. Wood floors and craftsmanship maintain a robust and traditional essence throughout. The family room, with its own fireplace, is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or nightcap. A primary master bedroom enjoys quiet space, a walk-in closet and a newly updated shower. An ancillary master bedroom is a welcomed convenience while the third bedroom has its own charm and accommodations. The large kitchen with a sitting area serves as a chef’s delight and major hub of the residence. Naturally, the kitchen is a place of congregating. Whether its Sunday dinner or continuing holiday traditions this special room is the ideal setting.

Where I’ve been…

I’ve been around the block, sometimes walking and often skipping (and damn is it fun to watch this big boy skip) to professional writing positions in advertising, marketing, and the entertainment industry.

I’ve delivered everything from snappy satisfying dopamine drips of social media content to low-down whiskey soaked long-form features.

In addition, I’ve created, written and developed TV Series, scripted/unscripted podcasts and brand integrated multimedia projects.

If you’ve made it this far, thanks a lot. If the samples don’t give you enough or if you want to know if I steal co-workers sandwiches from the fridge (that was a one time thing and there’s context) let me know and I’ll give you better suited samples and some references.
